WW2 Japanese 8mm Type 14, Nambu Pistol.
DEACTIVATED 8mm Type 14 Nambu pistol. Standard Japanese sidearm of WW2 manufactured by Chuo Kogyo Co.Ltd in their Kokubunji factory in August 1941. Manufacturer marked, dated and type marked with matching serial numbers to all parts with the exception of the magazine. In good overall condition with the exception of a fractured safety, which although broken still functions, priced accordingly. With Deactivation certificate. AVAILABLE WITHIN THE UK ONLY
Chindit shoulder patch.
Good embroidered example of the badge worn by the 77th Indian Brigade and later the 3rd Indian Division - The Chindits. Formed by Orde Wingate in 1942 and fought extensively throughout Burma, often behind Japanese lines. The name Chindits is a corruption of the word ' Chinthe ' which is the lion-headed pagoda guardian seen throughout Burma and represented by the patch. Classic, worn example with some mothing and safety pin fastening to the reverse.
WW1 C96 7.63mm 'Broomhandle' Mauser.
A good example of a WW1 7.63mm C96 Mauser self-loading pistol. Although not dated it displays typical features of wartime production with machining marks showing on the frame of the gun. The butt is rebated to accept the wooden shoulder-stock/holster and has all matching numbers. The action is tight and crisp with a good amount of original bluing present on the ladder sight, extractor and safety. The rest of the gun is clean with a few areas of minor corrosion. Altogether a good clean example which was originally a 'bring back' trophy that was recently recovered from a loft. DEACTIVATED. ONLY AVAILABLE WITHIN UK
No.3 Commando Shoulder title.
Printed No.3 Commando shoulder title. A good used example, clearly having been removed from a uniform. No.3 Commando had the distinction of carrying out one of the first raids on the Lofotens. This was followed by Dieppe, Sicily and Italy before Normandy and the Rhine Crossing under their colourful CO. Durnford-Slater.
SOE Tyreburster.
Consisting of a tinned steel outer case made in two halves containg a ring of HE, the tyreburster was designed for use against vehicles. A minimum load of 150lbs was required to intiate a special pressure switch setting off the charge. This example in clean condition , fuse present and intact, fully strippable A scarce example of a weapon used by clandestine forces. INERT
WW1 No.36 MkI Grenade with gas check.
A fine condition British, WW1, No.36M MkI Hand Grenade with base plate (gas check Mk2 ) for use in the cup discharger as fitted to the SMLE rifle. Manufactured by JMD & SL in 1917, both the body and baseplug share the same manufacturer. The gas check is unmarked. The grenade is fully strippable and is in excellent, original black lacquer finish. INERT
WW2 British pattern time pencil.
WW2 British pattern time pencil as issued to Auxiliary Units. This alloy, copper and brass example has most of it's original finish complete with blue bands indicating 20 - 30 hours delay. These early British pattern delays are very scarce compared with later patterns and this example is complete but INERT.
US M8/M3 Airborne Fighting Knife WW2 vintage.
A classic example of this type of fighting knife, seen in all the good war films strapped to the chest of the US Airborne troops!! An untouched example that has been issued and used, but is still in excellent condition. Pressed leather grip is fine with no damage. Sleel pommel has the 'flaming ball' stamped in the top.Scabbard is green hard plastic and still has the leather 'thong' tie down at the bottom! Top of scabbard throat is marked USM8 and BM CO. Blade is blued steel, properly sharpened to one edge, maker marked US M3 CAMILLUS. Green webbing belt loop and grip strap in excellent condition.
Kriegsmarine Observer type Watch.
WW2 Kriegsmarine Observer type Watch ( B-Uhr ). This example do es not appear to have a class I or II classification but has a clear Kriegsmarine Eagle, M, and serial number. Movement is a 17 jewel by Solvil, Geneva and is in good working order. The white face, with luminous hands and figures, is KM marked, again with the Solvil trade mark. The nickel silver, brass case has some wear to highpoints with minor scratching. Heavier scratching around the indentation used for removing the cover. A clean,working example.
