FABULOUS THIRD REICH POLICE NCO'S VISOR. Nr MINT

FABULOUS THIRD REICH POLICE NCO'S VISOR. Nr MINT

A really good find! A virtually mint visor cap being Feldgendarmerie, for the 'town' Police, green piping. There is one slight piece of damage to the rear of the cap, looks as though a small piece has been sliced out of the crown. I think this cap was packed away and caught in a hinge of a trunk or similar, as this is not a moth or a rodent 'nip'!! Other than this the cap is virtually mint. Sweatband is torn in one place, but it looks as if this cap has never been worn, just packed away.

DEACTIVATED Japanese ' Last Ditch ' or ' Substitute ' 7.7mm , Type 99 rifle. This example was manufactured at the Tokyo Juki Kogyo Arsenal as part of the 27th series in approx. late 1944. Last Ditch weapons were built in an attempt to simplify and speed up production and this example features; receiver marked only with chrysanthemum, welded and pinned front band, fixed peep sight, no cleaning rod, wood buttplate and simplified cocking handle.
