WW1 Memorial Scroll to 2/Lt.David, Logan, Rickards 1/4 KOYLI who died 19/12/1915 at the age of 32. Rickards DOW as the result of being gassed, he is buried in Bards Cottage Cemetery, Belgium. It is likely Rickards was a casualty of the First German phosgene attack on British troops which took place on 19 December 1915, , at Wieltje north-east of Ypres. 1939 dated MkII helmet with a size 7 MkII liner by Briggs Motor Bodies featuring a 5th Infantry Division symbol to one side. Khaki textured exterior finish now worn smooth with faded divisional symbol, a white Y on a red square, to one side. Good, overall condition.
