RAF tissue paper escape map - Abyssinia

Approx. 46 x 46cm. Scale 1 : 2,000,000. Sheet 0 Abyssinia up to the borders of Kenya. Created by Clayton Hutton of MI9 using wood pulp from a Mulberry tree, these maps were incredibly thin and light. An example of an unissued imperial Black Wound badge. Mint example save for some minor chips to the finish of the pin fastening to the reverse. Not sure whether the glazed tissue paper is original to the badge but was obtained this way along with a small number of other unissued Imperial and Third Reich badges, part of a small ' bring back ' grouping.  read more

RAF ' Window ' radar jamming device.

Small card box containing a spool of aluminium 'tape' attached to a paper parachute. These were a specific size to produce a signal on German radar sets and were thrown out of RAF bombers in order to jam German radar signals. Excellent unused example.  read more

This is the ‘Reichssportabzeichen in Bronze’ awarded to a soldier from Austria in 1938. The actual bronze award is complete with its 16 page document of achievements and certificate at the back. WW1 British Soldier's Pay Book AB64 to 67898 Pte.Leslie Donald Hudson of the Devon Regt accompanied by his Birth Certificate. Hudson enlisted in the 4th Reserve Btn. Devon Regt. at the age of 18 before deploying to France in 1918. Good, clean condition although birth certificate has torn. Accompanied by MiC.  read more

A good example of the coloured field service caps worn Probably by an officer of the Pioneer Corps. Maroon serge body with dark green curtain and peak. Italian Fasces Door or Wall Plaque.

Brass Italian fasces plaque probably for wall or door mounting. 180mm x 70mm cast brass with a residual mounting stud which shows clear signs of having been sawn or cut. Appears to have an old minor solder repair to the top of the staff.  read more
