101 Squadron initially equipped with Blenheims, Wellingtons and then Lancasters which were equipped with a top secret radio jamming system codenamed ' Airborne Cigar ', ' Special Operators ' located and jammed German fighter controllers broadcasts. Highly vulnerable, 101 suffered the highest casualty rate amongst Bomber Command squadrons. Scarce.
