1943 British Bush Hat - Royal Engineers.

Standard British bush hat by Failsworth Hats Ltd., size 7 1/8, dated 1943 sporting the insignia of the Royal Engineers. Stitched RE flash overlaid with an economy plastic RE badge. Manufacturer marked and dated to leather headband with inspection marks to reverse of band. Interior with partial cotton liner with residual remains of a silver foil crown, now absent. Hat very much ' as found ' with some surface staining, dusty etc with some minor moth nips. RE ribbon appears to be mother behind the badge. Good, used example.
