Green herringbone, heavy duty cotton armband with applied red band and printed ' 13th K.R.R. '. Steel buckle with a purple pencil inscribed name and number to reverse. The 13th (Service) Battalion King's Royal Rifle Corps was formed in Winchester as part of Kitchener's New Army and like many of the so called ' Kitchener Battalions ' struggled initially with uniform and kit issue and this armband probably originates from this period. Scarce.
