WW1 British Extending Box Trench Periscope.

WW1 British wooden bodied, trench periscope with extending facility. Periscope has inner sleeve which enables it to be extended by increments retained by a brass, sprung loaded catch to the side. No markings evident and in good working condition. This example clearly has a sliding cover to the objective lens which is now missing as is a side mounted handle although does retain fixings. Unusual.
