British WW1 Brodie Helmet & Cover.

British WW1 Brodie B Pattern helmet with cloth cover. A good example of a B Pattern helmet with rim stamp ' FKS 1 ' indicating manufacture by Thomas Firth & Sons, Sheffield 1916-18. Brodie stamp to interior of oilcloth liner, chinstrap present but now broken. Cloth liner stained with some areas of damage to rim but substantially intact and does not appear to have been taken off the helmet at any point. The shell, where visible with original green paint sand textured finish. An increasingly difficult to acquire untouched item.
