Luftwaffe Butterfly Bomb Fuze 41.

Type 41 Mechanical clockwork fuze for use in the SD2 Butterfly bomb. Threaded body which is activated by a spinning vane and has two possible operations: aerial burst or impact. This is set using the switch, pointing to ' ZEIT ' for timed or air burst or ' AZ ' for impact. This example is in recovered condition and cannot be stripped apart from the central arming spindle and a part of the side is missing showing the internal mechanism, would however, display in a SD2 body with no indication of it's failings.
