RFC/Early RAF Practice Bomb & Carrier.

WW1 and later period 3lb practice bomb and bomb carrier. Standard 3lb practice bomb with cast body and tinned vanes and plunger initiator designed to emit smoke on landing. Comes complete with bomb carrier designed to be attached to the aircraft. Tinned construction with cast brass release bracket which would originally had a wire retainer which engaged with the groove of the bomb, pulling this wire would release the bomb. Both items in excellent condition with large amounts of their original painted finish.
