JAPANESE WW2 NCO'S KATANA IN FANTASTIC CONDITION.

A sword that was once quite common, has become very hard to find and due to the construction materials, very hard to find in good condition. Of typical construction with the grip made of cast aluminium, and formed and painted to look like cloth binding and wood. The grip was painted brown and after many years of handling etc, usually wears off. This grip has 85% of the original paint still intact, and looks amazing. The lower grip Tsuba is solid blued steel. Grip/scabbard release sprig works perfectly. Scabbard again matches the grip and has over 85% of the original olive green paint, with no dents or damage to the rest of the scabbard. Arsenal marks stamped correctly and the scabbard throat and blade numbers are matching. The polished steel single edged blade is in virtually mint condition. A FINE example of a mid-war period Katana. (sold to over 18's only)
