German Third Reich Rural Police shako (Schutzpolizei der Gendarmerie Tschako) (brown trim)

A really nice and near mint and perfectly preserved Third Reich Police Shako for the Rural Polizei. As this is ‘Rural Police’ all the leather trim is in chocolate brown. Apart from some mild age cracking here and there, the Shako is in near mint condition. All aluminium trim is present, beautiful eagle with correct brass retaining nuts. Brown leather chinstrap with aluminium buckles is in mint condition. Green wool covering to the main skull/body has no moth nips or tracks!! Amazing as the dear old moth grubs love this stuff! The interior leather sweatband looks to have never been worn. No stains or wear at all. This Shako is made by the most desirable cap and hat maker in Third Reich Germany -Erel-! Their trademarks etc are all stamped on the inside of the lining. A really lovely and mint conditioned Shako. A rare find in brown Rural trim.
