WWII BritishTabby Monocular Night Vision Scope.

A scarce British WWII “Tabby” Infra-red monocular scope contained in its original brown leather carrying case marked ' ZA.23132 Case for ZA.23119 MK.I.(T). Very early infra-red night vision device in the form of a monocular scope. The scope is containing the infra-red tube and its battery power supply is sealed into a waterproof, khaki cloth covered container. Operated by depressing the side mounted button and focused with a graduated eyepiece. This equipment was used by various arms of the special forces and remained on the ' Secret ' list until the late 1950's. Good, used condition
with some loss of stitching.
