Victorian/WW1 Sherwood Foresters' Grouping.

Photographic and insignia grouping to Sgt.Charles, Edwin BARKER of 2nd Vol. Battn and 15th ( Bantam ) Battn Sherwood Foresters ( Notts & Derby ) Regt. Grouping consists of a Victorian, white metal 2nd Battn glengarry badge, Victorian, white metal collar badge and King's Crown Notts & Derby bi-metal, lugged cap badge. Accompanied by 10 photographs, many with Barker as the subject, showing early service with the volunteer battalion and then later service in WW1. Many of the photographs are annotated including the fact that Barker was KIA. 202776 Sgt.C.E.Barker was KIA on 22/04/1918 serving with the 15th Batt and is remembered on the Pozieres Memorial. Originally from Wirksworth, Derbyshire these items came directly from the recent clearance of the family home.
