BOTH FUNERAL SASHES FOR LUFTWAFFE BASE WREATH.

It is unusual to get both of the red rayon sashes associated with a funeral wreath. This pair would have been attached to the large round wreath displayed at an important funeral. These ones have been presented from and come from the wartime Luftwaffe base/airfield JEVER. One sash is printed in silver (slightly faded) ‘Flg.Horst Kommandantur Jever’. Each sash is finished at the end in silver tresse. One sash has a separately applied swastika and the other one has a separately applied black cross. In excellent condition and you can see at the top of each where they were attached to the wreath and been pulled off. JEVER was a Luftwaffe airfield during WW2 from 1936-1945. It was used by the RAF until 1961 and has been used by the German airforce since then.
