British East Lancs Unit Marked Helmet.

British MkII helmet bearing the red ' XXX ' markings carried by the East Lancashire Regt a nod to their antecedence as the 30th Regt of Foot.
This helmet is truly in ' as found condition ' retaining approx. 70% + of it's original textured khaki finish which has darkened through age and light rust bleed. Three, dark red Xs. to one side identify it as belonging to a member of the East Lancs Regt. The interior is dusty and grubby with only the size of the MkII liner easily made out as a size 7. Chinstrap has rust stains and is nearly worn through. There are some partial manufacturer stampings to rim but they are not legible. Scarce, untouched unit marked helmet.
