Victorian Rifle Officer's Sidecap.

Black, fine wool sidecap by Hobson & Sons for an officer of a rifle regiment. Green cording to crown with silver buttons and surmounted by a corded boss with silver bugle emblem. Cotton lined interior with gold blocked manufacturer's details with the remains of a red wax seal. A half forehead protector made of plush, now heavily worn is present. Silver Victorian crowned buttons now deeply patinated with similar patination to boss emblem. Generally very good condition with some moth tracking to one side.
