GOLD ‘HONOUR’ HITLER YOUTH BADGE.

A very nice badge in excellent condition. ‘Das Goldene Hitler-Jugend-Abzeichen’ was established as an honour award by the National Youth Leader (Reichsjugendführer) Baldur von Schirach in recognition of leadership, long service or other special achievements in the Hitler Youth. Recipients included those who joined before 2 October 1932 and who completed five-years unbroken service. It could also be awarded for merit, irrespective of length of service.
This one is numbered on the reverse ‘58’ and has the RZM circle with maker M1/122.
All gilding is present,,shows a little age but the enamel is perfect. Apparently this RZM maker does not exist,,so there is some controversy about the origin of these badges. Due to the quality and construction, I think it’s fine. However, I have priced it accordingly and will let the purchaser make their own decision.
