BEAUTIFUL SMALL BROWN HITLER YOUTH LEADER LEATHER MAP CASE.

An absolute find!! Never encountered one of these before and certainly not in this wonderful condition. Perfect dark brown leather in virtually mint condition. Measures approximately 9.5”x 7.5” and 2” deep. Complete with original neck strap. Wonderfully made, all folds over on itself. Separate panel inside to put the folded map with grid system around it. Reverse is deeply stamped with a little RZM in a circle then L2/1271/36. (JV Ausfg 2 1271 (Jungvolk) - J.G. Haufle, Pulsnitz) This was a specific manufacturer/seller for Hitler Youth items. This case would have been carried by a HJ officer or senior HJ youth leader. In addition to the RZM marks, the leather flap is deeply embossed with ‘Gesetzlich Geschutzt’ in an arch on the outside. Inside is the ink stamp for Otto Pressl. Seems this is a personal stamp as he was a builder, so this was his case and I imagine a HJ leader.
A great item on its own, but if you are a HJ collector, great item.
