FANTASTIC OFFICERS BINOCULARS USED IN BOER & WWI

In amazing perfect order, these binoculars were made and ordered in 1899. Made for E.W. Margesson. His initials appear on the frame of the binoculars and his initials are embossed into the lid of the brown leather case. E.W. Margesson ended up a Lieutenant Colonel in The Norfolk Regiment and was MID in 1916. These binoculars were purchased via the Naval and Military Club in Piccadilly. He served in the Norfolk Regiments from 1899, so was probably involved in the Boer War, but so far I cannot find any records for this. These are very high quality 9x magnification and are in PERFECT condition with 100% optics etc. Made by GOERZ in BERLIN. Original velvet lined case again is in perfect used condition. These are now 121 years old and true antiques. An amazing piece of history. Totally unique! How have they survived like this for so long? Worth of further research.
