1950's Officer's Cap 11th Hussars (Prince Albert's Own).

A classic piece of twentieth century cavalry headress, a cap worn by an officer of the ' Cherry pickers ' the 11th Hussars (Prince Albert's Own). Maroon body with patent leather peak and strap with a gilt cap badge by the maker Herbert Johnson of Bond Street. The trademark printed directly onto the silk lining that is protected by a supple plastic liner, indicates manufacture in the 1950's. This is further evidenced by the use of similarly dated stores indent forms as padding behind the leather head band. Good, used condition with some marking to peak and some moth tracking which appears to the less visible parts of the body.
