Early 19th Century Child's Sword.
Early, probably Continental child's sword. 19" single edged, fullered blade with a slight curve and a rounded point and a blued half panel with possible residual gilding. Brass crossguard with
decorated plaques of crossed axes and Minerva to either side with a lion mask ended quillion. Floral decoration to knuckle bow with a lion mask and floral decorated pommel. Finely chequered dark wood grips. Contained in a brass scabbard with decorated bands supporting two loose hanging rings. Attractive item in good, clean condition.
