Webley Bentley Style DA Percussion Revolver.
C1850 DA, 5 shot percussion revolver borrowing heavily from the Webley Bentley pattern. Probably retailed by ' Lummis, London ' whose details are hand engraved to the top of the barrel, the pistol is a .40 calibre open-top revolver, with a 5-shot percussion cylinder and a hexagonal barrel. On the left side of the pistol is a James Kerr-style rammer for loading and a flag spring, push-through safety device which enables the hammer to be set at half cock, for loading. Proof marks to underside of barrel and to each cylinder with ' patent 1859 ' engraved to the side of the action. The grips are walnut and chequered with a plain butt cap. Good, crisp action with a large proportion of original bluing to cylinder and barrel.
