Geo VI 1827 Patt. Naval Officer's Sword and Belt

This example features an etched ' GVIR ' blade with half basket hilt featuring the Royal cypher, all of which is gilded and lacquered. Bound fish skin grip with knot cording attached to hilt with gilded brass mounted leather scabbard. Owner's details engraved to scabbard retaining arm ' Hugh Miller R.N.V.R. '. Blade with some minor marks which would benefit form a polish, all other aspects of the sword in excellent condition with bright gilding through out with some contact wear points. Comes with correct , originally tied sword knot and an excellent condition Naval sword belt with manufacturer's details of ' Gieves Matthews & Seagrove ' gold blocked to inner surface. Gold wire bright and undamaged with gilded and frosted buckle in excellent condition. A complete, untouched British Naval sword rig.
