WW2 Wood-Hilted Fighting Knife.

Often associated with use by the RAF and reputedly made for use in the Far East, these knives display all the attributes of a third pattern FS knife with a machine drawn blade, thick cross guard but with the steel handle replaced by wood. In this example, an oval shaped with turned rings and the pommel nut recessed into the top. Good, used condition with 55% original bluing remaining to blade with staining and some light corrosion contained in a stitched and riveted scabbard. Grip, like most has some minor cracks and a possible letter or number scratched to one side. Knife and scabbard otherwise unmarked.
