WW1 1915 Rowntree & Co. Ltd Gift to the Troops Tin.

An uncommon two section tin depicting King George V with the Flags of the Union surmounting the date 1915. Originally the tin contained chocolate and cigarettes with a sliding panel to the bottom which revealed the cigarettes and included a striking board for vestas. The tin was originally given as a gift to the troops by the well known chocolate manufacturer Rowntree & Co. Ltd, York and their details are displayed to the inner face of the sliding panel. Good, overall condition with only minor abrasions.
