IMPERIAL GERMAN SOUVENIR/COMMEMORATIVE PLATE FOR 1914-15.

A white china plate produced at the beginning of WW1 as a commemorative or souvenir. Dated 1914-15 they obviously thought it wasn’t going on much longer! Approximately 12” in diameter with a pierced decorative edge. Center portion has a nice Imperial Iron Cross motif, surrounded by a green oak leaf wreath with national colours as a binding ribbon. Further around the edge in large gold lettering is ‘Ausgrosser Zeit ‘ at the top with ‘Weltkreig 1914-15’ around the bottom. It means ‘Eventfull Time -World War 1914-15. No damage and no cracks. Not bad for a proper 100+ year old antique.
