Royal Navy Photograph Album and Paperwork Grouping HMS Hood Interest.

Grouping of paperwork and albums pertaining to the extensive service life of P.G.Parkhurst. Joining as a boy entrant in 1921, Parkhurst's first ship was HMS Hood in which he served until late 1924 taking part in the World Cruise of the British Service Squadron. Accompanying this group are two souvenirs of the cruise, one in the form of a commercially produced photograph album the other a pictorial booklet. Parkhurst went onto serve throughout WW2, leaving the Navy in 1957 as a Lieut.Commander ( Electrical ) and the group includes an extensive sea diary of appointments and cruises, certificate of service, educational certificates, promotion qualifications, and commission documents for Warrant Officer and Officer status. Various other items of paperwork including torpedo records, travel warrants, newspaper etc come with the group. All items in good overall condition, some minor damage to album. Would definitely reward further research.
