WW2 German Paperwork Grouping - P.O.W. Russian Front.

A paperwork grouping to Uffz.Josef Albert an NCO with 12 Komp. Inf.Regt.151. The grouping consists of a number of Feldpost letters from Josef to his family written ' in the field ' varying in length from single sides to multiple pages. In one he mentions awards of EKIs. Another letter, dated November 1944, from an officer of the unit states Albert had been reported missing after heavy fighting on 13 September 1944 and as no further evidence to the contrary was available, it was assumed he had been killed. It must have been greeted with some surprise the arrival of a card dated July 1946 indicating that Albert was a prisoner of the Russians. Other ephemera with the group indicates the family religion, Catholic and further post war passes to Albert and his family. Good, used condition and would benefit from translation and further research.
