WW2 Air Formation Signals Officer's Insignia.

Acquired during the last pre lockdown visit to a house clearance contact, this is a small grouping of insignia to an officer in the Royal Signals belonging to an Air Formation Signals unit. Air Formation Signals were a normal army signals unit providing communications for the Tactical Air Force. They were responsible for all communications to airfields and TAF headquarters and played an increasingly important role during the campaign in Europe. Grouping consists of 2 AFS sleeve badges, 2 signal arm of services strips, 2 Signals shoulder titles, Signals OSD cap badge and various pips in gilt and cloth.
