UNISSUED EK2 IN PAPER PACKET WITH RIBBON.
There have been many of these found over the years as ‘new, old stock’. There were millions made and issued during and before the war. However, they have mostly disappeared and dried up, all going into collections all over the world. This is a mint, unissued Iron Cross second class. There IS a ring maker stamp, but I can't read it, perhaps 14? Condition is mint, with a little age tarnish patina. The original long piece of ribbon is with it and both are inside the original blue paper issue packet. Packet is fine with no damage, tears etc. It’s faded a little at the edges when stored. Other than that, everything is in beautiful condition.
