WW1 1914/15 Trio, Scroll and Plaque Casualty Grouping - 25013 L/Cpl. Frank Biggs 6th Btn. Somerset Light Infantry formerly 9265 4th Dragoon Guards. Biggs, a Weston-Super-Mare native and resident of Swindon was killed on 16/09/1916 probably as part of the Somerset L.I. operations attacking Gird Trench North-East of Flers as part of the ongoing Somme operations. He is commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial. According to one of the original Form 104s included with the group, Biggs was wounded by a gunshot to the right shoulder on the eve of the Somme offensive on 30/06/1916 only to be killed just over 2 months later. Medals toned with original ribbons named to ' 4th D.GDS '. CWGC, MIC and a small amount of research included with the original paperwork.
