US WWII Army Officer's Cap by Lautersteins of Texas, their ' Devonshire ' model . With soft wool body a pliable leather peak and bright gilt, die struck Officer's badge with single post fixing, unmarked. Slightly detached ' Airflow ' sweatband with intact liner protector. Body of the cap in excellent, unmothed condition with good shape with some small snags to cap band . Approx. size 6 7/8 . Peak has a small area of damage where stitching has come loose. Good example with a little attention would be an excellent example.
