Liner with manufacturer mark and faint owner details. Good, used condition with much of the cork paint finish intact. To the front is the insignia of the 103rd Infantry Regiment ( 2nd Maine ) of the 26th Division which was one of the first National Guard units to serve on the Western Front. The 103rd served in the Champagne-Marne campaign where they had their first real taste of fighting, and went on to fight gallantly in the Aisne-Marne.
