WW2 FS FIGHTING KNIFE 2nd PATTN WITH 'BEADED AND RINGED' HANDLE.

This is a very nice variation example of a 2nd Pattn FS type fighting knife with the 9 segment 'BEADED AND RINGED' cast brass grip. One of a few well known and recognized types offered by different manufacturers as the market grew for these weapons. No identifying marks of any kind. Overall conduction is excellent. The grip was originally blackened but this has worn off mostly, leaving the residue in the grip rings. Blade remains un-sharpened with needle sharp point. There is a little surface discoloration on one side, but most of the original blackening on the blade is intact too.The scabbard is lovely. Supple brown leather, top grip loop with popper works perfectly. Brown leather body is undamaged, bottom chape is also perfect. The 4 leather scabbard 'sew-on' tabs are ALL THERE. Tis exact type of knife is featured in several of the FS fighting knife books. A very good example
