WW2 US Mark 2A1 Grenade - Early issue.

An excellent example of the classic US ' Pineapple ' grenade. This example is a Mk.2A1 introduced from 1944, essentially very similar to the M2, the Mk2A1 is distinguished from it's predecessor by the absence of a filling hole to the base. This is an early version, still retaining its yellow colour, most Mk2A1s being green painted. Accompanied by the correct M10A2 igniter with which the initial powder filled grenades were issued. Excellent example of wartime grenade.
