Ox & Bucks Normandy Casualty Grouping.

A medal / paybook grouping to 5380649 L/Sgt Alfred Thomas Leighton of 1st Btn Ox & Bucks L.I. Leighton was killed on 13/08/1944 probably in the attack on the cross­roads at La Bijude. He was aged 32 and is buried at Banneville-La-Campagne cemetery. His paybook shows him to have been from Stourbridge, Worcs and is prominently marked ' deceased ' and ' KIA '. Accompanying medals are mounted for wear and were originally mounted in a frame with a cap badge. Also comes with a field post card and and newspaper clipping. Would reward further research.
