Italian 81mm Mortar Round.

Italian M35 mortar round for use in the M35 81mm mortar, the standard heavy mortar used by Italian infantry units through out WW2. This example is the so-called lightweight projectile weighing in at 3kg approx and was filled with amatol which is stencilled on the side of the body. Fitted with a 1935 dated, brass percussion fuze, this example retains approx 85% of it's original markings, all be it in now subdued condition. Good, clean example, strippable.
