Good, example of a WW2 British officer's cap for the rank of general. Fine melton example by Herbert Johnson of New Bond St with a roan leather sweatband with a high relief bullion General officer's cap badge. Plush scarlet band with leather sweatband retained by two gilt General officer buttons. Approx size 6 7/8 with interior lining protector which has typically stiffened and become a little ' sticky '. Excellent, all round condition with no moth damage.
