York & Lancaster Officer's Field Service Cap.

An excellent example of an officer's field service cap worn by an officer of the York & Lancaster Regiment. Fine melton cloth body with yellow peak, maroon crown and white piping. Cast, two piece gilt, silver and enamel York and Lancaster Regiment cap badge with gilt and silver regimental buttons. Unlined interior with a soft plush headband. Label indicating manufacture by Hobson & Sons of London and a size 7 1/8. Excellent condition through out with one barely visible moth nip to piping.
