WW1 Land Army Armband.

Early WW1 Land Army Armband, this example is believed to date from 1916 and the early incarnation of the nascent Land Army the National Land Service Corps. Using the Suffragist colour of purple, a triangle encompassing the letters N L C has been sewn onto the khaki wool armband and a printed cotton disc with the title ' Land Army ' stitched to the centre. Closure to the reverse is made by safety pin. Excellent, moth free condition.
