WW1 Austro-Hungarian Zeitzünder Gewehrgranate.

Austro-Hungarian Zeitzünder ( time fuze ) grenade used during WWI. Part of a family of similarly designed grenades using heavily segmented cast bodies and fitted as a hand grenade ( see item 7843 ), rod or as in this case a stick grenade. Initiated by an inertial pull-fuze of which a residual part remains and fitted with a wire handle to allow for a longer throw. Good, overall, recovered condition.
