WW2 German Gewehrgranate Spreng 30 - Rifle Grenade.

This is an example of the standard German HE rifle grenade, the Gewehrgranate Spreng 30, for use with the Schiessbechere attached to a K98 rifle. It has a steel fuze and body with a Bakelite driving band base matched to the rifling of the discharger and uses
the AZ5071 PD fuze with an internal set-back safety. Comes complete with the cardboard packaging which would have contained the grenade and launching cartridge. In good overall condition with some pitting to body of the grenade, coding to fuze and inspection marks to grenade. Container in good, clean condition, dated 1944 and three letter coded indicating manufacturer. Fully strippable.
