WW2 Polish Cap Badges. WW2 Polish Cap Badges.

WW2 Polish Cap Badges.

Acquired from the same estate in Bedfordshire these two badges are typical of those worn by O/Rs serving with the Polish Army in the UK during WW2. The first is an issue plastic ( cellulose acetate ) Polish Army eagle cap badge by A.Stanley of Walsall, just as typically this has deformed through heat but is intact and possesses both blades to the reverse. The second is a cast brass Army eagle surmounting a shield typical of those at unit level again typically curved backwards to fit around the seam of the field service cap. It was retained via two holes through which it would be stitched to a cap, good condition with polished highlights.
