Cased Screwback War Merit Cross 1st Class with Swords.

An uncommon example of a screwback War Merit Cross 1st Class with Swords in it's original LDO marked case. Cross is frosted with burnished highlights with bubbling to reverse finish. Retaining disc stamped ' L58 ' indicating manufacture by Rudolf Souval of Vienna with an applied positioning pin to reverse. Contained in an original, slightly tatty LDO box with a piece of the flock cushion now removed and various minor bumps and losses to the exterior finish. Unusual and less common variant of this award.
