Mine Clearance Service Grouping.

Immediately after the First World War, the Mine Clearance Service was established to sweep the large numbers of mines laid during conflict. This service was abolished in 1920. These two items, a die-struck, white metal arm badge, and a cap tally are from this brief incarnation of the service. Arm badge retains it's shaped backing plate and the scarce naval tally is in tied condition. Both items in good condition with light overall fading and minor damage to the ribbon.
