Indian issue 3rd Pattern F.S. Knife.

Introduced from 1942 the 3rd Pattern F.S. knife was the zenith of FS knives formulating the design and method of production that is still used today.
This wartime example retains much of it's blackened finish to the ringed grip which has a number ' 3 ' cast into the top. One dent to top of the grip with broad arrow ' I ' stamped into the top of the cross guard. Hand drawn blade with period signs of sharpening and a grubby blade which could benefit from a careful clean. Late pattern sheath which retains both tabs which have been artfully frayed, elastic retainer now absent. Good, used example.
