German WW2 second pattern pith helmet. Olive drap felt construction with field gray chinstrap and rim strengthening. Aluminium pith helmet eagle and national colour shields, red felt lining with a leather headband marked with size, 56 , maker marked ' M 'and date 1942, penned initials to sweatband. Shows signs of light use with some very minor dents and abrasions.
