Luftwaffe ' Robot ' Camera.

Luftwaffe ' Robo t' camera, a clockwork driven, ' powered ' camera which allowed a practised operator to take up to 4 frames a second. The Robot II was built by Otto Berning and Co. and this particular model modified for Luftwaffe use by the provision of an extended winder for use with a gloved hand. marked ' Luftwaffen Eigentum ', essentially Luftwaffe property, with an F prefix serial number this example retains it's detachable lens and film cassettes ( designed to be pre loaded in a darkroom ) and appears to be operable. The winder, clockwork mechanism and shutter release all appear to function although not tested. In good, overall condition with wear to paintwork and missing it's ' Robot ' label to reverse. Uncommon.
